WorkingRemote uses third-party artificial intelligence services to generate personalized resumes and cover letters. This section explains exactly what happens with your data when you use these features.
What data is sent to the AI service:
- Your work experience (companies, job titles, dates, descriptions)
- Your education history
- Your skills and languages
- The job listing you are applying to (title, description, requirements)
How the data is transmitted: All data is sent via encrypted API connections (TLS/SSL). Your data is not stored permanently by the AI provider — it is processed in real time and discarded.
Training: We do not use your personal data to train AI models. Our AI providers process your data solely to generate the requested output.
Important: AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all generated documents before using them. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Privacy Rights).
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract: Processing necessary to provide the services you signed up for — account creation, CV generation, auto-apply, payment processing.
- Consent: Marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interest: Platform analytics, service improvement, fraud prevention, and security. We balance our interests against your privacy rights.
- Legal obligation: Tax record keeping, responding to lawful government requests.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We only share data with the service providers listed below, strictly to operate WorkingRemote.
- AI service providers — receive profile and resume data to generate CVs and cover letters. Data is transmitted encrypted and not retained after processing.
- Payment processor — receives card details (directly, not through our servers), email, and name to process payments. PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
- Email delivery provider — receives email addresses and names to send transactional emails (magic links, receipts, notifications).
- Advertising and analytics — receives browsing activity and page view data to measure ad performance and improve the platform.
Employers: When you apply to a job listing (manually or via auto-apply), we share your name, generated resume, and generated cover letter with the employer who posted the listing. You authorize this sharing by using the application feature.
Legal requirements: We may disclose your data if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Business transfers: If Working Remote Jobs LLC is acquired, merged, or sells assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
